Greetings! I'm Mark Courage, and I'd like to take you on a journey that began in the small town of Norwood, Colorado. It all started in the second grade when I developed an unquenchable desire to capture the world through the lens of a camera. There was just one problem - my family couldn't afford to buy me one.

But as they say, necessity is the mother of invention, and my resourceful mother had a brilliant idea. She suggested I sell seeds door to door to raise the money needed for my first camera. So, armed with determination and small packets of seeds (10 cents each), I embarked on my first entrepreneurial venture.

I vividly remember those days, walking Norwood's streets, knocking on doors, and sharing my dream of owning a camera. It wasn't an easy journey, but I inched closer to my goal with each sale. The feeling of self-reliance and the joy of knowing that my hard work led to something I truly cherished was invaluable.

Finally, the day came when I had saved enough to purchase that camera. It was a momentous occasion, and I couldn't have been happier. From then on, I had a faithful companion - my camera.

Photography became more than a hobby; it was a lifelong passion. I took my first steps into visual storytelling, and there was no turning back. I continued refining my skills, taking photography courses in high school and college.

I worked professionally briefly between 2005 and 2006, focusing on youth hockey photography and taking on a few freelance assignments. However, life took me down other paths, and photography took a backseat.

It wasn't until 2023 that I rekindled my love for photography. Armed with digital and film cameras, I embarked on self-training and rediscovery. I realized that my passion for photography had never truly waned; it had simply been waiting for the right moment to resurface.

Today, I invite you to join me on this photographic journey, where each click of the shutter is a testament to the power of determination and the joy of pursuing one's dreams. From the charming streets of Norwood to far-flung destinations, I've been fortunate to freeze moments in time, and I'm excited to share them with you.
